The new N64 Controller
After introducing the new Switch Online features Nintendo suprised us with a new N64 Controller for the Switch. Here is everything we know so far:
The controller will be wireless
The controller will likely not have a memory card slot
To our understanding the controller will only be available to subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online, both the normal version and the extension
The controller is priced at 49.99$ at launch
The release date was not announced yet
This rises a few questions...
As far as we can tell it will not be possible to use this new N64 wireless controller on existing N64 systems.
Furthermore, it will be very interesting to see if the Joy-Stick Mechanics have been improved since the original N64 controller was infamous for being not very durable.
Lastly this release blows wind into the fire of rumors about a speculated release of the N64 Mini. It seems the production line is running for at least one of the two components already.
