Well, we finally got the news from Sony!
the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro Console has been announced and oh boy...
The PlayStation 5 Pro, announced for release on November 7, 2024, offers major upgrades in GPU performance, advanced ray tracing, and AI-driven image upscaling.
The console is all Digital, and does not come with an vertical stand... But..
Key features include a 67% GPU boost, faster rendering, improved lighting, and PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution for sharper visuals. It supports VRR, 8K gaming (we'll see about that... ) , Wi-Fi 7, and enhances over almost all the PS4 and PS5 games
The console comes with 2TB storage, a DualSense controller, and will retail for $699.99 USD, £699.99 GBP, €799.99 EUR, and ¥119,980 JPY Pre-orders begin September 26, 2024.
So yeah.. Instead of buying it new in stores for $700 or €800

i hope they go out of business. 800€ for a console will always be a steal, no matter about the technical specifics. i hope the price will be lower soon.

Does this console even appeal to anyone? Sony is definitely trying to appeal to enthusiasts with the console. The problem with that is that most enthusiasts buy physical media and the decision sony made by not including a disc drive removes that appeal. Them also charging for the disc drive and other accessories separately is just another insult to the consumer
