  • Due to extremely high sales success (this magazine excerpt said over 200,000 units sold) in the United States, this colorway was brought over to Japan
  • Priced at 7800 yen, this was 1000 yen more than the regular Gameboy Pocket. This is because both the gold and silver Gameboy Pockets came with a special plastic case.
