Some prototype designs were developed to see which one worked best for PlayStation users with disabilities.
The final prototype design looks much closer to the final model. The white is applied back onto the numbers, but in return lose their plastic feel. Plus, the stick cap had also been redesigned
Even though there are six different ones, it's likely that there are more that were produced.
