Discontinued engraving service from Sony that allowed people to get their PS4 etc. engraved

I recently came across a now discontinued service from Sony that was exclusive to Japan.

This service allowed people to send in their PS4 (and possibly other Sony products) to be engraved or they could have possibly purchased a PS4 (or another specific Sony product) from the Sony store with an engraved design already on the product.

The information on this service I found wasn't really clear on how this service works and whether or not you had to be in some kind of membership to use this service.

I translated a page on the Sony website going over this service using Yandex so the translation probably isn't the most accurate.  I will leave the translated images down below non the less in the hope of finding more information on this service.

Very interesting , great find! Makes me wonder if anyone got their PSP engraved, these should be variants like the engraved stuff from Nintendo World

Great ! I found some time ago ( while looking for Project Diva PS4 ) that this service was pretty expensive for " a simple engraving "

From what I remember of this article, engraving service was more for company use, like engraving promotional stuff in low quantity ( company name for special gift to employees or customers ).

I also remember that some HDD PS4 cover where " Made on order " ( ex : you choose which design you want in a catalog and they engrave it for you if there is none available yet )

    Thanks for the extra information!
