- Comes with the Steel Battalion and Steel Battlion: Line of Contact (Xbox Live only) game, which are region-locked. The controllers are usable with an Xbox console from any region.
- The green LED lights on the controller often outlast the blue counterparts; meanwhile, the pedals for the blue button-variant often outlast their older counterparts.
- To maximize life-span of the pedals, it is often recommended that you remove one of the two springs in each pedal.
- Aside from the green LED lights, this controller can be identified by the lack of silk-screened "PRF Army" logo on the center block.
