- Following their victory at The Game Awards, EA asked if we could create custom It Takes Two Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 hardware, alongside custom controllers, that could be given away to fans in a sweepstake to thank them for their support.
- TAKEOFF’s design specialists modelled PS5 designs on the flamboyant Dr. Hakim; the sides of the PS5’s plates became covers of the famous ‘Book of Love’, including intricate linework throughout. Also on the cover, complementing the game’s logo, were crayon drawings of the game’s protagonists, Cody and May, inside a love heart.
- Each console came with a pair of custom controllers; each representing the in-game doll designs of Cody and May. Our ‘Cody’ controller featured a textured denim design, with fine yellow stitching detail around the buttons. 3D elements included stitched threads and buttons. 3D elements on the ‘May’ controller also included buttons, alongside pins and threads, to complement the textured crochet design.
- In celebration of today being 2/22/22 on a Tuesday, marking the internet-wide joke of it being ‘Twosday,’ and their achievement of being awarded as the official Game of the Year, Hazelight and EA are hosting a giveaway sweepstakes featuring It Takes Two! In this sweepstakes, two participants will win either an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 that is fully customized after the game with matching controllers.
- To enter the giveaway, visit the official giveaway website, select the platform you are hoping to win, and get your entries in. Winners will be chosen on or around March 22, 2021.
