  • Not much is known about the Atari Mirai. 
  • One theory suggests that the Mirai would have been an Atari version of the Neo Geo from SNK. This theory is backed up by the fact that it has the same large cartridge slot, but this was unlikely. 
  • The second theory is that the Mirai was a console version of the Atari ST. It is known that Atari considered doing this.
  • The prototype was discovered in 1996 when Atari Corporation closed its doors. 
  • Alas, it is merely a shell, with no hardware inside.
