What do you collect and what is your goal?

I began collecting video games at the age of 33, driven by the deep love and fond memories I have of my grandparents and my late father. One of my earliest and most vivid memories dates back to when I was 8 years old, watching a TV commercial for the Greek Super Nintendo Donkey Kong bundle. I was completely mesmerized by the graphics and immediately started begging my father to buy it for me.

My Sega consoles also hold a special place in my heart. They bring back memories of visiting my grandparents in the village. In particular, the Spring Yard Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 1 takes me right back to the spring of 1995—a time when I truly felt like the happiest person alive.

How did you get the idea to collect video games/consoles?

Back in the spring of 1995, at my grandparents’ village, the Spring Yard Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega Mega Drive) imprinted itself on my heart. It’s tied to my love for my grandmother and a time full of simple joys—memories that set me on the path to collecting video games.
