  • The Sony Playstation SCPH 1000 is the first model of the PS1 ever produced.
  • Few units were produced before it was replaced by the SCPH 3000 model due to laser issues. 
  • It's has the best RGB and audio output and it's the only PS1 model with all 3 independent video outputs (RCA - S Video and AV multi out). The SCPH 100x models (PAL and American) are all based on the Japanese SCPH 3000 models
