(Model #PL-3601) Likely one of the first third-party licensed controllers made for the system. According to Pelican (from the c|net review in 2006), "TSZ" is acronym for Three Six Zero, which references the titular Xbox system itself.

The controller's design is near-identical to that of the original XBOX 360 controller, except for it's shape, the design of the START and BACK buttons, and the Xbox Guide being a button with a picture slotted in rather than a physical Guide button based on the logo. Additional design elements include the "TSZ" graphic on the left leg of the controller, and the Pelican logo on the right.

Current Findings:

  • Originally retailed at $29.99 USD.
  • Rumble was apparently weaker compared to the original.
  • Said to have come in white, silver, and camouflage, (with additional colors being redlight bluegreen, and orange, that were planned for summer releases.) but only White and Blue are known to exist.
  • May have had a revision that reduced the sound of the LB and RB bumper buttons, as evidenced by IGN's review in 2006: "the TSZ's LB and RB buttons make a particularly loud click when depressed... Pelican have told us that the company is working to minimize the click noise."
