Do we know any more info on this? I don't think this is an Xbox product. For one the og xbox doesn't use standard usb ports so its not from the 2001 launch, 2001 launch/partner/debug/halo green is also different. At first I thought it might be a early xbox 360 media remote

However the inscription mentions Media center and the MCX Hook. I don't know anything about MCX but windows media center is from 2002~2004 depending if your counting the app or the os. So i'm guessing this has something to do with media center gaining support for the xbox 360 in 2004~2005.

The patent number on the back dates from '99 and is to vague for this and could be used for all IR product that Microsoft makes.
The model number 1039 belongs to the Microsoft RC6 remote. This remote appears to come bundled with media center pcs so they where made by a few different companys like dell, acer and gateway but here is an example of the non branded retail model.

Sadly I cant dig up any dates as this item is just to generic for 2020 google but i'm like 90% sure this isn't an xbox product.
Wrong usb port, wrong green, MCX hook? No xbox branding..
