On November 10, 2004 iQue in partnership with NetEase announced a design contest for the Gameboy Advance SP with 716 submissions and thousands participating in voting

The winner with over 500 votes Chonghui Zhang was awarded the Golden Christmas iQue Set containing this iQue SP with a 24k gold iQue nameplate and special serial number

Chonghui also received a handwritten letter from Wei Yen; president of iQue, and the event ended Christmas Eve 2004
