What do you collect and what is your goal?

in terms of consoles, i primarily collect handhelds, though there are also a few home consoles i'd particularly like to get my hands on. with games, i mainly focus on collecting all the entries for series i'm interested in, including versions for different consoles and regions, as well as one-off oddities, or just games whose art particularly interests me. the main goal of my handheld collection is to eventually have at least one of basically every console, but i also love picking up cool or cute-looking limited variants.

When did you start collecting?

it's hard to give a definitive answer here because i sort of just fell into collecting over time, but i wanna say i started taking it somewhat seriously around 2015-2016 or so, when i was about 13-14.

How did you get the idea to collect video games/consoles?

i realized at some point that i had accumulated more DSs than one person would reasonably need (my first lite, a dsi i had gotten later, my mom's old dsi xl, as well as a 3ds xl) simply because i had never bothered to get rid of them, even if i wasn't using them much at the time. i'd never really thought about it before but the thought of having all of them just made me really happy, so i decided that was just gonna be a thing of mine from then on.
