'PlayStation®Vita Testing Kit' PTEL-1000 for customers in Japan

'Testing Kit' is a testing machine for title QA built based on the PlayStation®Vita retail unit.

  • It is running DEX Firmware with advanced debug features compared to retail.
  • There are basic debug settings, Store Preview apps and the Package Installer.
  • The Kit needs activation to be able to execute code which had to be renewed every couple months.
  • There is a 'Show Mode' which blocks the user from exiting a software which could be used for exhibitions.
