  • On December 1, 2001, it was only released at 700 Game TSUTAYA stores in Japan.
  • Advance reservations are required on the TSUTAYA website.
  • is the first true platinum or silver GBA ever.
  • The serial number on the back should read AJ1415XXXX.
  • Plain silver GBAs are stamped "Made in Japan" instead of "Made in China".
  • The code on the side of the outer box is AGB-S-VA(JPN).
  • The time on the back of the box should read "2001 Nintendo Made in Japan", not "2002 Nintendo Made in China" on the plain silver GBA.
  • Available for the retail price of 9800 Yen

I think I found one except the serial on the back of it was AJ1413 instead. It does say "made in Japan" and have the the "AGB JPN -1" on it. I noticed the Chinese consoles start with an "AH" first before the numbers as well. I guess it doesn't help either since it is a lose console as well that I found.
