How can you tell it's fake? It would be good to know, espcially when buying other rare DS's

ethan-writes Here's a few ways i usually check! This is a long one, so sorry about that! to me, its usually most visible by the lack of serial number sticker, but im aware those stickers can fall off, some people try and fake serial numbers and thats kind of obvious by font weighting and other stuff seen in the text. Another harder way to tell is by lack of signs of wear and use, like if there's no yellowing at all and the console is 18 years old- doesnt fit too right in terms of logic. there's also colour differences between the print on the shell and the real version, sometimes grey can be blue-ish or just not quite the right shade. there can also be colour discrepencies between the hinge and the top of the console, and if its a different colour of plastic like yellow, sometimes it can be translucent if its fake. sorry for going on a bit lol, those are just the main ways i check to see whether a console is real or not, if you're ever unsure, ask a seller how they got it and check veeery carefully with photos of the real console! good luck out there stranger!
