Wow! This is a really cool variant. I'm happy that people are still finding more limited edition consoles! I've only technically found two variants: the Blue Swarovski GBASP and the Pink Swarovski GBASP. Even then it was still covered by another collecting site, though they only used stock images, and didn't have much info, other then them apparently releasing on March 28, 2003.
I know there is an app on the Nintendo Store ( Only in France maybe ) to visit the Louvre with a 3DS. It's an audiotour of the museum ( https://www.nintendo.fr/Jeux/Nintendo-3DS/Nintendo-3DS-Guide-Louvre-822301.html ), maybe it's related ?

How is this the same rarity as the monster hunter 3ds when Ive never seen one of these for sale and I see a bunch of the monster hunter ones for sale

Beacuse they were sold in France not the US, with only 1k-5k being made thats not a lot to be sold

as far as I know they weren't officially sold at all ever
