There is a bit of misinformation here. The production run was probably sub 5000. This console is an absolute unicorn in Korea. More importantly, the Vistar is not confirmed to be unlicensed, I would not claim that to be a fact. Yes, Daewoo distributed the PC Engine but Haitai is a reputable and well respected company ~ I find it highly unlikely they would engage in grey-market activities. Fun fact : Haitai now sells cookies!

Another fun fact : some units came with sunglasses to protect from epilepsy or something like that. It was a wild time.
